The Home First Initiative is designed to tackle the affordable housing challenges in rural communities of North Carolina. This program focuses on two main objectives:

Providing New Homes: The initiative aims to build and offer new, affordable housing options to address the current housing shortage. By increasing the supply of affordable homes, the initiative helps to ensure that more families and individuals have access to safe and stable housing.

Revitalizing Existing Homes: Alongside constructing new homes, the program also focuses on revitalizing and renovating existing homes. This ensures that the current housing stock meets modern standards and provides a safe, comfortable living environment for residents. Revitalization efforts can include repairs, upgrades, and improvements to make homes more livable and energy-efficient.
